We can do a honed (egg shell finish), satin (gloss finish) or polished (high gloss finish).

2. Our technicians are trained to use many different types of diamond and abrasives. This allows them to pick and use the best tools that will give you the highest quality of finish.

3. Our stone technicians work with natural stone daily and are well versed in stone identification and knowing the characteristics that make each stone unique. This allows them to perfect the art of stone restoration.

Limestone Cleaning

Limestone floor and surfaces will benefit from periodic professional deep cleaning services, using non-acidic, highly-effective cleaning limestone cleaning solutions and professional equipment. For limestone floor cleaning, our cleaning process begins with first mopping on non-acidic stone safe cleaner to loosen the dirt. Then we go over the floor with our truckmount system which rinses the floor with water that is 200 degrees fahrenheit and then extracts the cleaner and dirt using a vacuum. This process is called hot water extraction. With more heat throughout the job we are able to achieve a deeper and more consistent clean throughout the job. We also detail around the edges by hand to make sure all the details are taken care of. This process will only clean the floor and will not address damaged areas such as scratches, traffic pattern wear or etch marks. To remove the damage the floor must be refinished.

Cleaning limestone countertops or other surfaces can also be done but we often find that customers asking for this type of cleaning in order to remove stains and marks on the countertops often actually need the surfaces honed and refinished. Etch marks caused by strong acids such as orange juice or soda can not be removed by cleaning and will need to be refinished.

Limestone Sealing and Protecting

Limestone is easier to keep clean with periodic professional deep cleaning services, using non-acidic, highly-effective cleaning solutions. Once your limestone is cleaned and restored, we may recommend you have us seal it to enhance its stain resistance. We say, “May” because not all stone needs to be sealed. Highly polished limestone may not even take an impregnating sealer. But, if sealing is recommended, know that sealing represents an inexpensive, preventative measure against limestone stain damage.

There are many misconceptions about what a sealer does and doesn’t do. It is important to note that sealers do not prevent traffic patterns or etching. The surface of the stone is still vulnerable to acidic substances, scratches, dullness, and other damage. In addition, natural stone, even when it is properly sealed, is not stain proof, it is merely stain resistant. There are also new protective treatments that, unlike impregnating sealers, offer both etch and stain protection. We can give you recommendations based on your specific surfaces.
